Hansen’s Tree Service – Our Work is Tree-Mendous!

Hansen’s Tree Services was founded by Jeff Hansen in 1988. Hansen’s was the first tree-care company in Missouri to be certified by the Tree Care Industry Association. Hansen’s employs 11 International Society of Arboriculture-certified arborists, making the company one of the most accredited tree service companies in the St. Louis area.

Hansen’s owes much of its growth to the diversification of services as well as its philosophy on employee education. The company not only provides residential and commercial services such as tree diagnosis, treatment for sick trees, pruning, tree removal and stump removal, but also has expanded into other areas. Among these are Hansen’s tub grinder, lawn care, mulch and firewood services. In all, Hansen’s employees 90 people and operates a fleet of 75 trucks.

Q: 01-23-10 Tree-Via Question Winter time inspection of trees can reveal many things including signs of cankers and or anthracnose which appear similar and feature areas of dead, abnormal, and or oozing plant tissue. These damaged areas grow quickly or slowly, some with minor consequences others are lethal. Fungus, bacteria and virus are considered main causes and depending specific type of canker / anthracnose severity of infection and health of infected tree indicates course of action. Treatment can range from pruning infested spots, application of fungicide or bactericide to control / stop further tree decline or disease spreading to nearby trees. If treatment is attempted but proves to be ineffective what is recommended alternative?
